![]() ![]() One can only be chosen as a leader/staff if they participated in the seminar as a participant in a previous year.Īfter becoming very involved in Students Against Destructive Decisions at La Salle Academy in my freshman year I applied for and was accepted to attend the TeamSpirit Leaderhsip Seminar in the summer of 2009. Students cannot be older than a senior in high school to participate and be chosen as a leader/staff. ![]() The student participants are lead by about 35 high school leaders that are distinguished through a more selective application process. ![]() All activities relate to the overall theme of destructive decisions and are intended for high school students. Seminars consist of many speaker activities, alcohol and distracted driving awareness activities as well as leadership and team building activities. During the four days students not only stay in the dormatories but also eat all meals at the university cafeteria and use the college facilities for various seminars. Adult chaperones, from the MADD RI board and SADD school advisors, stay the course of the four days, in the dormatories with the students at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. About 200 students are chosen to attend through an application process. Students from high schools across the state of Rhode Island are invited to send students for a four day seminar. TeamSpirit is an annual summer leadership conference run by Mothers Against Drunk Driving of Rhode Island. ![]()
